Job Summary:
The Raytheon General Ledger Accounting team is highly respected and is known for excellent teamwork within a dynamic, collaborative environment. It offers the opportunity to help develop optimum solutions for business challenges and to develop a broad network of contacts within Raytheon Finance, Corporate Accounting and across other Raytheon Finance business units. The General Ledger Accounting Team coordinates key control activities such as journal entries, account reconciliations, internal reporting for general ledger accounts including inventories, prepaid assets, suspense, accrued liabilities, cash, reserves, end of service benefits, agent commissions as well as support of internal and external audits. The selected team member will develop a well-rounded understanding of the Raytheon accounting structure and systems. The experience gained will provide a foundation for the continued broadening of financial experience within Raytheon and RTX.
What You Will Do:
This role will provide a unique opportunity to gain exposure to accounting tools, systems and processes as well as to develop networks with program business, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Finance leadership. General responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Prepare and post complex manual journal entries
Perform monthly Account Reconciliations
Support audit requests from internal and external auditors
Support requests from internal customers
Preparing Trial Balance charts/schedules and presenting to the General Accounting Manager and Controller
Ensuring compliance with key internal control procedures
Participate in special projects, process improvement, and analysis
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Math, Business or a related field and 2 years’ relevant financial/accounting experience
Experienced user of SAP (APEX and BCS), Analysis for Office, MS Excel or similar financial systems.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Understanding/working knowledge of SAP (including Business Consolidation System and Business Warehouse-Analysis for Office Reporting)
Understanding/working knowledge of Blackline reconciliations
Strong analytical skills and report development capabilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
