Summary / Objectives
The Accountant reports to Citadel Completions’ Accounting Manager and is responsible for analysis of accounts, the development and posting of journal entries and account reconciliations. Will assist in the monthly close process, development of accounting policy and procedures and internal controls.
Essential Functions
Will provide accounting support to major financial accounting areas, including fixed assets, general ledger, Work in Process, Inventory, accounting, and account reconciliation.
- Assist in month end close
- Assist in bank reconciliations
- Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing business transactions
- Enter data into Accounting Systems
· Monitor inventory transactions; verify accurate costs
· Maintain Fixed Asset register, perform periodic tests of assets.
Qualifications / Competencies
- Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles; strong understanding in relation to construction accounting and inventory
- Thorough knowledge of general ledger systems; Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains a plus
Required Knowledge and Experience
- 2 years Accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA / CPA candidate
- Thorough knowledge of general ledger systems; Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) programs; strong understanding of Excel
