What Will You Be Doing?
The Route Planning analyst analyzes and monitors the revenue production capacity of the Frontier Airlines route network. This position will be responsible for assisting in the route selection process, establishing the levels of capacity in each route and building a network structure that yields the highest revenue potential for the company.
Essential Functions
- Monitor and evaluate the existing route network and recommend capacity and/or schedule adjustments to maximize the financial performance of the entire network.
- Evaluate and forecast potential new routes using existing forecasting methods as well as innovating new methods into the Network team processes.
- Assist in the development of network and fleet deployment strategies based on financial performance, company strategic initiatives and in consideration of the competitive environment
- Help in the preparation, maintenance and interpretation of flight profitability data and reports.
- Assist in working across multiple teams including and not limited to scheduling, revenue management, marketing, airport planning, crew planning and other operations groups to ensure seamless execution of the network strategy.
- Use interpersonal skills and knowledge of planning to define, review, revise and implement capacity and route plans.
- Complete other ad hoc tasks as assigned including but not limited to reporting, flight projections, media support, building presentations, etc.
- Maintain a focus on maintaining lowest costs possible in every aspect of our business.

Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, computer studies or related aviation field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree
- 2-3 years analytical experience working in a data intensive environment required. 1 year of quantitative analysis work experience and at least 1 year graduate-level education may substitute for this requirement. Industry experience preferred.
- Experience with airline data intelligence tools like Cirium Diio or Airline Data Inc., or airline scheduling products like Sabre Schedule Manager is a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Understanding of airline economics, competitive environment, capacity planning processes, airline fleets, macroeconomic trends, etc.
- Excellent analytical skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency required; SQL and/or Python proficiency a plus
- Ability to express and defend ideas in a highly competitive environment
- Ability to work well with and speak to all levels of leadership regarding route planning issues
- Understanding of the ULCC airline business model preferred
- Possess a drive for continuous improvement and a willingness to constantly innovate
- Strong time management capabilities
- Limited travel required for industry meetings/conferences, vendor meetings, and market familiarization trips
