Lycoming Engines, a leader in aircraft engine manufacturing, is seeking an experienced Marketing & Communications Specialist to support brand growth and product communication strategies at our Williamsport, PA location. This role is part of the broader Textron Systems MARCOM team and reports to Lycoming Engines’ Manager of Commercial Marketing.
As an integral member of our MARCOM organization, you will partner with product lines, cross‑functional teams, and MARCOM centers of excellence — including Creative Services, Digital Development, Communications, and Events — to develop and execute integrated spaneting campaigns and events that strengthen our spanet presence and support long‑term business strategies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Create, execute and measure annual MARCOM plans that support business growth and strategic objectives.
Lead integrated product spaneting campaigns to drive awareness, engagement and revenue.
Use research, analytics and competitive insights to inform spanet positioning, messaging, and value propositions.
Develop compelling product content for digital, social, print and internal communication channels.
Manage creative development with internal teams and external partners, including collateral, videos and advertising assets.
Build and maintain repeatable processes, workflows and documentation to streamline content delivery.
Maintain accountability for all campaign timelines, budgets and stakeholder approvals.
Guide storyboarding, shot lists and production logistics for photo and video shoots.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment and on-time project execution.
Support planning and execution of internal and external events including internal events and tours, trade shows and conferences.
Partner with teams and vendors to manage the Lycoming Engines Gear Store, including on-site and pop-up retail experiences.
Qualifications
Required Experience & Skills
3-5 years of experience developing, executing and measuring strategic MARCOM plans—preferably within highly regulated industries such as aviation, aerospace, defense, finance or healthcare.
Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills.
Proven project management experience with cross-functional teams.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
High professionalism and strong communication skills across all levels of an organization.
Ability to manage ambiguity, adjust to changing priorities and solve problems independently.
Portfolio required (must be original work; AI-generated materials not accepted).
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with third-party content management and MARCOM tools (e.g., Sprout, Hive, SharePoint, Bynder, Gather Content).
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in spaneting, communications or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Travel
- Up to 40 travel may be required.
