Education & Job Requirements
* A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
* A minimum of 4 years of work experience or substantiated equivalent experience.
* Corporate jet aircraft or commercial aircraft experience.
* Military aircraft maintenance experience, including Depot, Isochronal, or Phase inspections, if formerly in the military.
* An FAA Airframe and Powerplant license or an FAA Airframe license.
* A personal set of tools.
* The ability to effectively communicate aircraft maintenance actions in English, both verbally and in writing.
* The ability to work 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.Preferred Skills
* A GROL certification or an Aircraft Electronics Technician certification.
* Certification from an avionics or electrical aircraft technical school or equivalent military training.Job Duties & Functions
* Install and test complex avionics equipment and electrical systems on aircraft.
* Comply with environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
* Perform and document all work in accordance with applicable manuals and regulatory requirements.
* Remove, repair, and reinstall avionics equipment prior to aircraft release.
* Assemble and install electrical components.
* Operate ground support equipment as required.
* Accurately diagnose avionics system issues.
* Maintain detailed and accurate records of all repairs and work performed on aircraft.
