Contract Position
Pay Estimated: $51.97-$56.97/Hour
This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.)
Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, integrate, and configure software applications and components for mission-critical systems.
Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues in existing codebases using advanced diagnostic tools.
Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure system performance meets deployment requirements.
Develop and maintain design documentation, test plans, and design requirements in accordance with software development standards.
Participate in technical architecture planning and contribute to long-term product evolution.
Own application features from inception through maintenance, ensuring continuous improvement and performance optimization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field required; or Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience, or Bachelor’s with 5+ years of job-related experience.
U.S. Citizenship required by Federal Law.
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance is required.
Proficiency in C/C++ and Object-Oriented Development.
Experience with Windows application development, including architecture expertise in Win32, WPF, or WinUI 3.
Proficient in Visual Studio IDE, Windows SDK, and Windows kernel-level debugging tools (e.g., DDK, WinDBG).
Familiarity with software design patterns such as MVVM and MVP.
Experience with DevOps principles, including version control, branching strategies, and automation of build/test/deploy pipelines.
Working knowledge of SQL/SQL Server or equivalent relational databases.
Applied experience with Agile/Lean software development practices.
Experience contributing to technical architecture decisions and long-term software strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with National Instruments tools (e.g., LabWindows/CVI, MATLAB, PXI, CRIO, CDAQ).
Proficiency in using lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, and spectrum analyzers.
Experience with hardware-software interfacing, data acquisition systems, and communication protocols (e.g., GPIB, RS232, SPI).
