B2 Licensed Engineer (A320)

Job Description:

JMC Aviation are working with an MRO company based in Luton, looking to recruit a new B2 Licensed Engineer to join their team.

This client is an international line and base maintenance provider, operating a comprehensive level of support for commercial aircraft operators. As an independent MRO, they are able to adapt their approach to respond to rapidly changing requirements and provide services which include component repairs, overhauls, piece part manufacture, aircraft fuel tank repairs, aircraft maintenance, aircraft interiors and AOG support.

This is a Permanent Position based in Luton.

5/5/4 night shift pattern, working 12 hour shifts.

The Role

The primary purpose of this role is to carry out certification of work carried out in accordance with the scope and privileges of the authorisation held.

Other Duties Involve

- Ensure all tooling, equipment and premises within allocated responsibility are serviceable and any discrepancies are duly reported
- Ensure all company and legal requirements regarding aircraft/component inspection and production documentation are duly complied with
- Maintain licence/qualification and training validity necessary to support inspection authorisation utilised during completion of productive work tasks
- Maintain a working knowledge of maintenance procedures, ensuring strict adherence while carrying out line work tasks
- Maintain acceptable airworthiness, safety and performance standards in their delegated areas of responsibility
- Maintain a high standard of written daily maintenance handovers
- Ensure the accomplishment of maintenance and inspection tasks within responsible area using resources in the most efficient and cost-effective manner

In order to be successful in this role the B2 Licensed Engineer will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes

- UK CAA B2 license
- Airbus A320 type rating with 6 months of recency in the past 2 years
- Base/line maintenance expertise on commercial aircraft
- Diploma, apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
