Digital Machining Solutions team standardizes, delivers and maintains lean digital manufacturing tools and services for the GE Aerospace sites utilizing state-of-the-art technologies to increase capacity and quality, to avoid cost and to achieve on-time delivery. The “CNC Simulation Engineer” will maintain existing Siemens NX Postprocessors, Siemens NX Machine Simulation/CSE and develop new functionality as the business drives towards Model-based Manufacturing (MBM). Roles and Responsibilities
- Learn current GE Aerospace in-house developed CNC simulation structure and work on modernization for next generation
- Drive standardization in CNC simulation structure
- Work with Siemens to drive GE Aerospace expectations
- Participate in on-machine debug process if needed
- Work in a highly dynamic, collaborative, and global team environment
- Coordinate several concurrent projects
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or institution
- A minimum of 3 years in CNC simulation
Desired Expertise:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in developing CNC simulation with Siemens NX Common Simulation Engine (CSE)
- Large scale, multi-site CNC simulation support
- Extending TCL with C/C++
- Python, other programming languages
- Siemens NX CAM programming of complex aerospace parts (turning, milling, multi-task machining etc.)
- Familiarity with on-machining probing macros integration in CNC digital kits (Renishaw, Blum, Siemens etc.)
- Experience with Siemens Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
- Ability to document, plan, and execute projects
