What are your contributions to the team?
- Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for supervising a team of professionals Engineers supporting the Global and the Challenger wiring design and EWIS MRB.
- Be responsible for continuous improvement in your sector, ensuring adherence to plans of all deliverables, supporting production delivery schedule, reducing waste, and improving processes.
- Working closely with other Engineering services, Methods, Production, Suppliers and Partners to optimize the overall performance.
- Manage Program Change Requests (PCRs) based on approved budget and schedule.
- Manage Manufacturing Request for Change (RFCs) Based on priority level.
- Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and professional development opportunities for direct reports.
- Build team capabilities (recruitment, development, retention, etc.) and manage staff performance including goal setting, defining responsibilities, and determining priorities.
- Provide visibility on the execution, issues, and escalations, as needed.
- Manage the performance and development of all team members and show strong leadership qualities.
How to thrive in this role?
- You must have a Bachelors degree or a College degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- You have a minimum of fifteen (15) years of equivalent experience in aerospace manufacturing.
- You must have good experience in Aircraft Electrical Wiring design and participated in development of complex projects.
- You have engineering management experience (Asset).
- You are familiar with Bombardier engineering and change management process.
- You have excellent management skills for influencing other, conflict resolution and problem solving.
- You demonstrate leadership, have very good analytical skills, are flexible, have a great sense of initiative and are able to work with minimal supervision.
- You are results oriented, have the ability to work under pressure and to cope with the sense of urgency.
- You have excellent communication skills in French and English (written and oral).
