The On-Wing Support Lead Powerplant Engineer is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of site engineering standards and technical excellence. This includes ownership of technical vetting, router management, and implementation of advance technologies and new processes. The position plays a key role in defining and executing workscoping strategies, supporting development of new capabilities and managing special projects arising from continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen, action workouts and strategic business opportunities.The role supports business growth by identifying opportunities to expand continued time engine maintenance and enhances technical service quality through proactive management of inquiries, investigations, and regulatory audits. It provides strong leadership to the engineering organization, driving a high-performance culture through coaching, talent development, and pipeline management. Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a minimum high school diploma with at least 6 years of related experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with engine maintenance, trouble shooting, and assembly
- Availability to work flexible shift patterns as required, including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability and willingness to support calls during off-hours when emergency situations arise
Preferred Qualifications
- Approaches work with a “can-do” attitude and a sense of commitment to both the team and customer objectives.
- Possess a desire to learn and grow with technology advancements and new engine models
- Features strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including problem-solving ability
- Holds previous LEAP, GE90, CFM, CF6, CF34, and GENX experience and international field experience. This knowledge to include Line maintenance, engine changes, module removal & installation, and/or LRU removals and installations.
- Proven leadership experience leading initiatives of moderate scope and impact
- Demonstrated quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute.
