In addition to comprehensive internal engine repair/overhaul, we also operate a world-class evaluation and testing facility that’s FEDEC capable.
Role Overview:As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring conformance in manufacturing processes, incoming goods control, product inspection, and witness points. You will leverage your technical expertise to execute policies and strategies that drive quality assurance and quality control. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to collaborate across teams to contribute to GE Aerospace’s mission of delivering world-class solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure quality assurance and quality control of products, services, and manufacturing processes.
- Oversee conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, and witness points.
- Apply technical knowledge to execute policies and strategies that support quality objectives.
- Resolve issues requiring technical judgment within established procedures and consult senior team members for complex challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality processes and contribute to broader business goals.
- Develop strong customer relationships and serve as the interface between customers and GE Aerospace.
- Explain technical information to team members and customers, ensuring clarity and alignment.
- Lead and mentor junior team members as needed.
The Ideal Candidate:The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in quality assurance and control within a manufacturing setting. They possess excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with quality in a manufacturing setting strongly desired.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Established project management skills.
- Knowledge of PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
- Lean Six Sigma knowledge.
