Tasks

What Youll Do:

  • Record and verify invoices 
  • Post vouchers, accruals and provisions 
  • Maintain the chart of accounts
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet, profit & loss, cash flow statements 
  • Compile monthly reconciliations and financial statements
  • Issue monthly invoices to internal and external customers
  • Review accuracy and completeness of financial records 
  • Keep organized accounting systems
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Prepare reports analyzing variances, budgets, and forecasts
  • Conduct internal audits as needed
  • Manage employee reimbursements
  • Assist with budget and forecast preparation
  • Prepare and submit VAT, corporate tax, and other filings on time
  • Ensure compliance with UAE Corporate Tax Law and treaties
  • Stay updated on tax laws and assist with audits
  • Assist with tax audits, queries, and assessments from the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) or other relevant bodies
  • Review contracts for tax implications
  • Support month- and year-end tax provisions and reconciliations
  • Coordinate with departments and external auditors on tax matters
  • Maintain documentation to support tax filings

Requirements

The ideal Financial Accountant & Tax Specialist should meet the following requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience in VAT, Corporate Tax, Global Pillar 2, Transfer Pricing, and Withholding Tax
  • Proficient in IT, especially QuickBooks, SAP, and ERP systems
  • Comfortable working with numbers
  • Strong commercial awareness combined with analytical mindset
  • Diligent and systematic approach to work
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proactive and innovative
  • Highly organized with a structured approach to project delivery
  • Excellent ability to deal with pressure
  • Willingness to travel internationally
  • Participation in various projects and tasks beyond own job responsibilities 
  • Good planning and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Team player
  • Ability to work well with various internal stakeholders
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage
