This Internship position will support the Orion Program Management Office Communications team as we ramp up to send astronauts around the Moon and back on NASAs Artemis II mission in 2026!

Primary Tasks Support to the Orion Program Communications Team:
1. Supporting the Orion Program Communications team at special events, educational outreach programs, and other public venues.
2. Managing the production of the Orion Program Monthly Newsletter, including writing, photo collection, and coordination with Graphics.
3. Building and maintaining relationships within the Orion Program to develop key messaging and presentation content for conferences and program leader speaking engagements.
4. Write program management memos and internal communiques to the team.
5. Coordinating logistics and event plans for public engagement events and supplier visits, which may require travel.
Basic Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelors degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or a related field; junior or senior level student at an accredited college or university.
- Strong written and oral presentation skills; must be able to take complex program and mission information and simplify to relay to general public audiences.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
