In this role, you will fabricate and assemble a variety of different assemblies and supporting hardware. You will apply your knowledge of assembly techniques and use precision instruments, hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment. You will read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and related documentation to determine the method and sequence of operations, as well as dimensional and finish specifications. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and calibrate production parts.
• Follow assembly drawings, customer ATPs, and work instructions to build products to requirements.
• Complete necessary paperwork, including travelers, pull sheets, and forms for shipments.
• Lift materials (minimum 30lbs) and test manifolds.
• Mix ingredients, primers, adhesives, and sealants according to specifications.
• Trim, drill, ream, grind, sand, and finish parts using templates and hand tools.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications and requirements, including shipping details.
• Meet goals for quality, on-time-in-full (OTIF) delivery, and cost.
• Proficiently handle E10 transactions, including issuing of material and operations.

• Experience using tools, machines, or hands to create products or components.
• 1-2 years of manufacturing assembly experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Goal-oriented both individually and as part of a team.
• Experience with continuous improvement.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adherence to safety protocols, including PPE requirements.

Work Environment

This position is available for both 1st and 2nd shifts. The 1st shift (Packboards Department) operates from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Thursday, and 6:00 am to 10:00 am on Friday, involving standing for most of the day and working with larger assembly parts. The 2nd shift (Gauge Department) offers an additional $2.00 shift differential and, after training, will operate from 2 pm to 12 am Monday through Thursday, focusing on the small gauge assembly of parts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
