JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY
Under minimalsupervision, the Structures Technician Lead is responsible for planning,coordinating, and leading the day-to-day activities of the structures team insupport of VIP aircraft completion and maintenance projects. The role providestechnical direction, supports removal, repair, modification, and installationactivities, and ensures all work is performed in accordance with engineeringdata, maintenance manuals, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Plan, schedule, andassign daily work activities for structures technicians to ensure efficientresource utilization and alignment with production schedules.
• Provide guidance,on-the-job training (OJT), and instruction related to correctly measuring,laying out, sizing, and drilling holes per drawing or other technical data.
• Coordinate withengineering both within and outside the company to address issues and corrector clarify technical data.
• Perform precisionmeasurements and map out damage or defects to determine airworthiness and / orsubmit technical requests.
• Ensure all workperformed by the team complies with engineering specifications, blueprints,maintenance manuals, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Verify work performedby all technicians is documented correctly on a daily basis, and as work iscompleted.
• Lead by example bydemonstrating proper techniques, workmanship standards, and adherence toquality expectations.
• Audit and processcompleted paperwork, including electronic sign-offs as required, and assistwith corrections.
• Ensure team compliancewith engineering changes, revisions, and modification requirements.
• Monitor and drivefirst-time quality, minimizing rework and improving overall efficiency.
• Promote and enforce asafe working environment, ensuring adherence to all safety policies andprocedures.
• Communicateeffectively with supervisors, project leadership, and other departmentsregarding progress, issues, and potential risks to schedule or delivery.
• Mentor and supportjunior technicians to develop technical skills and improve overall teamcapability.
• Perform other relatedduties as assigned.
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC
1. High School diploma or GED.Relevant trade school attendance is a plus.
2. 6 years of structures install experience,preferably in the corporate aviation completion environment.
3. Ability to read, write, speak, andunderstand the English language.
4. Ability to read and interpretblueprints and engineering documentation.
5. FAA issued Airframe License
