Job Title: Maintenance ControllerJob Description
The Maintenance Controller will oversee daily checks and balances of systems and records, primarily interacting with pilots and mechanics to address discrepancies and troubleshoot issues. The role requires monitoring and deferring items with maintenance and flight crews, managing aircraft out of service, and ensuring timely troubleshooting of deferred items. Responsibilities include coordinating the routing for scheduled maintenance, providing technical information to flight operations, and utilizing maintenance tracking computer systems for planning and scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily monitoring of Deferred Maintenance Items (DMI) and F listings, aiming to clear 10-day deferrals within 3 days.
- Initiate the process to order parts and ensure deferred items are fixed promptly.
- Conduct daily line checks and tire pressure checks, updating service schedules in the system.
- Collaborate with flight operations and maintenance personnel to provide clear information affecting maintenance status and return to service estimates.
- Communicate directly with flight crewmembers to obtain necessary information for technicians to perform repairs.
- Utilize computerized maintenance tracking systems for planning, scheduling, and logistics.
- Update Flight Operations Software (FOS) in real-time with aircraft fleet maintenance status.
- Ensure mechanical delays are handled safely and expediently according to the General Maintenance Manual (GMM).
- Coordinate with flight operations, maintenance, and purchasing to expedite aircraft return to service.
- Track and control all deferred maintenance items (DMI), ensuring compliance with company manuals and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
- Complete and distribute forms and documents as outlined in the General Maintenance Manual.
- Provide tracking of parts and equipment during transit to aircraft on ground (AOG).
- Serve as the point of contact and control for maintenance performed on company aircraft away from the main base.
- Plan and track scheduled maintenance workload.
- Obtain approvals and complete Ferry Flight Authorization Forms.
- Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on company aircraft.
Essential Skills- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
- Ability to multitask and possess strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Proficiency in executing basic functions and programs on PC, with good typing skills.
- Basic spreadsheet management skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with CRJ 700/900 and Part Station 121 preferred.
- Regional carrier or CRJ service center experience is advantageous.
- Willingness to relocate to STL full-time.

Work Environment
The Maintenance Controller role involves a 3-day work week with shifts rotating every other Wednesday, working 12-hour shifts. Candidates must be open to day or overnight shifts, with potential schedules including Sun, Mon, Tues, and every other Wednesday or every other Wednesday, Thurs, Fri, Sat. The work environment is heavily phone-driven, requiring multitasking and adaptability to constantly changing priorities.

The pay range for this position is $77000.00 - $87000.00/yr.
