Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Description
As a Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that parts meet the necessary quality standards before they proceed to inventory. You will be responsible for inspecting parts, verifying certifications, and measuring dimensions to ensure compliance with blueprints.
Responsibilities
- Receive and conduct inspections on parts.
- Identify if lot numbers have been previously inspected and facilitate the movement of parts with minimal paperwork.
- Review drawings and inspection check sheets to verify necessary certifications and ensure process compliance with blueprints.
- Measure parts using calipers, rules, micrometers, and radius gauges to ensure quality before inventory placement.
- Ensure dimensions and certifications meet blueprint requirements.
- Handle non-conformances and process necessary documents through Oracle.
- Inspect work-in-process parts to ensure compliance with print and work order instructions.
- Calibrate gauges and test equipment as required by calibration schedules.
Essential Skills
- Quality assurance and testing experience.
- Understanding of quality improvement and standards.
- Proficiency in using calipers, rules, micrometers, and radius gauges.
- Experience with Oracle or ERP systems.
- High school diploma required; BS is preferred for internal promotability.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Entry-level to 2-3 years of quality experience.
- Aerospace experience preferred, but not required.
- Understanding of military rivet specifications is a plus.
- Experience in highly regulated industries such as medical devices, GMP, or automotive.
- Recent military separation or technical school graduates are welcomed.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
