Job Description:
Responsibilities

This role evaluates and manages Instructors, Tech Ops duties, responsibilities, and schedules. They oversee training courses, training records, training manuals, training tools & software to provide industry elite training to Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMTs). Position reports to Senior Manager, Tech Ops Training.

 

  • Manages Training Department personnel to the extent required to ensure such work is accomplished as described under their duties described in GMM ch 2.11.
  • Performs Instructor duties in GMM ch 2.11 as required.
  • Monitors & audits Instructors’ responsibilities & duties and reports deficiencies to the Sr Manager, Tech Ops Training.
  • Reviews & approves Instructor developed courses & materials for compliance & accuracy.
  • Oversees the management of the course schedule & course enrollment.
  • Oversees the management of classroom & training facility availability.
  • Manages Instructor availability & Instructor scheduling.
  • Audits Maintenance Training Department record keeping for compliance & accuracy.
  • Provides Maintenance Training data to the CASS for trend analysis.
  • Serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Technical Publications review and approval of applicable manual changes. SME on all tools, technology, and software that are utilized for training, development, & record keeping.
  • Coordinates with LMS Team for development & implementation of training solutions.
  • Coordinates with Maintenance Training Records to correct discrepancies & deficiencies in the record-keeping program.
  • Coordinates with IT department for Training Department hardware & software solutions.
  • Provides counselling, training & guidance to Maintenance Training Department members as required.
  • Ensures that the Spirit Maintenance Training Program is being complied with.
  • Coordinates with the MMT to develop initial and remedial training solutions for department members.
  • Coordinates with the MMT to develop training programs for Tech Ops personnel.
  • May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g., emergencies change in workload, rush jobs or technical developments)

Qualifications

Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in Education or Training

 

Experience

1-3 years’ experience in Education or Training

 

Experience Specific Field

Education, Training

 

Additional Certifications

FAA Airframe & Powerplant License (A&P)

 

Specialized Skills

Skilled in communication, organization, Microsoft Office programs, media technology, critical thinking, and problem solving.

Additional Competencies

Domestic & International travel approximately 25 of the time
