    • Oversee the development and implementation of safe, efficient ropes access solutions across diverse and dynamic environments.
    • Establish and enforce comprehensive safety protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Operational Leadership:
    • Manage ropes access operations, including resource allocation, equipment integrity, and adherence to process guidelines.
    • Supervise and coordinate teams performing ropes access, rigging, and related tasks, ensuring seamless execution of projects.
    • Direct the setup and operation of ropes access systems, rigging for large assemblies, and personnel platforms (boom lifts, scissor lifts, etc.).
  • Team Management & Training:
    • Lead recruitment, training, and development of ropes access teams, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
    • Develop internal training and qualification program for non-ropes access technicians.
    • Qualify non-ropes access technicians in proper ropes access techniques, equipment use, and compliance with safety standards.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and implement professional development plans for team members.
  • Collaboration & Project Management:
  • Partner with production and engineering teams to design innovative work access solutions tailored to project needs.
  • Interpret and apply engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications to ensure operational accuracy.
  • Ensure all operations are completed on time to the highest safety and quality standards.
  • Implement systems to monitor and improve safety, equipment reliability, and team performance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma OR equivalency certificate.
  • 5+ years of experience in ropes access environments (e.g., aerospace, oil & gas, or construction).
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in a technical or operational setting.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • IRATA or SPRAT Ropes Access Level 3 Certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, occupational safety, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Extensive experience in the aerospace, aviation, military, oil & gas, or other high-reliability industries.
  • Proficiency in mechanical, welding, or electrical systems, with the ability to oversee multidisciplinary tasks.
  • Advanced knowledge of pressure, temperature, and flow measurement devices, as well as precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong project management skills, including experience with budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning.
  • Expertise in operating and maintaining machinery, hand tools, and power tools requiring manual dexterity.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities in a high-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office and project management software; familiarity with CAD or engineering design tools is a plus.
  • Proven ability to foster collaboration and lead diverse teams in a high-stakes environment.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs unassisted and perform physical tasks as needed for oversight and training.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25 for project oversight or team coordination.
  • Comfortable working at heights, climbing ladders, and operating in confined spaces.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, to meet project deadlines.
