Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Operations Manager to lead our Airport operations on an initial 3 months contract. In this pivotal role, youll oversee all facets of our Transport Business Unit, including Carbridge operations, managing Supervisors and Bus Drivers.
Your activities
- Bus Management experience is critical
- Lead operational excellence by managing key stakeholder relationships and supporting a diverse team.
- Deliver exceptional service to Sydney Domestic and International Airport terminals while fostering a high-performance culture.
- Manage safety, efficiency, reliability, and service delivery, working closely with the leadership team to drive business growth and operational success.
- Strong administrative, time management and organisational skills, capable of working with minimal direction, under pressure and within strict timeframes, displaying initiative and motivation
- Knowledge of enterprise bargaining agreements and application in the workplace
- Practical knowledge of industrial relations processes including disciplinary procedures
- Experience in developing and implementing business improvements and change management strategies
Your profile
- Strategic Leadership: Proven experience in leading complex service operations within a fast-paced, safety-focused environment, handling diverse client requirements.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to engage and manage relationships within multi-client airport operations.
- People Leadership: Exceptional interpersonal and coaching skills to motivate and inspire high-performing teams.
- Operational Expertise: Knowledge of enterprise bargaining agreements, industrial relations, and implementing business improvements.
- Strong Communication: High-level written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes.
- Organisational Skills: Proficiency in time management, working under pressure, and delivering results within strict timeframes.
- Change Management: Experience in developing and executing business improvements and change management strategies.
- Safety focus with proven experience in Incident Investigations, root cause identification and implementation of permanent countermeasures.
- Preferred but not essential: HR licence, NSW Driver Authority, Certificate of Transport Management, ADA (Airside licence), ASIC
