40 - 63.40 per hour
Our prestigious client in Barrow-in-Furness are currently recruiting for Risk Engineers to support construction growth across their highly secure Defence site. Sitting within the PMO function you would be responsible for assessing, mitigating and managing risk across a range of projects using ARM risk management software. We’re ideally looking for a candidate experienced in managing risk in the construction, defence, aerospace or similar industry.
There is an engineer and lead engineer role available, both of which are being offered on 6-month contracts. Based in Barrow-in-Furness these roles require 2 days on site every 2 weeks. The rates on offer for the roles are 40 - 47 per hour PAYE or 53.90 - 63.40 per hour Umbrella.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead on the implementation of risk management across various projects.
- Undertake quantitative risk analysis.
- Promote risk mitigation within their project areas.
- Act as initial point of contact for risk queries and requests.
- Coordinate preparation and maintenance of project risk registers.
- Deliver risk reports in line with project and LCM requirements.
- Facilitate risk workshops.
- Identify areas of improvement for incorporation in the Risk Management Procedures.
Requirements
- Have held a risk management focused role for at least 6 months.
- Experience of assessing, mitigating and managing risk across multiple concurrent projects.
- Experience of Active Risk Manager (ARM) or similar risk management software.
- Is SC Clearable.
- Experience of the Defence, Aerospace or construction industries.
Desirables
- Experience of supporting construction projects in the Defence or Aerospace industries.
- Experience with ARM 9 specifically in relation to a construction project.
- For the more senior role, prior team leadership experience is essential.
Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will need to be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance before starting on site
