Your mission:
Manage and lead the end-to-end tax compliance process for VAT & WHT, ensuring were always a step ahead in accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory alignment.
What you’ll be doing:
Oversee and manage the end-to-end tax compliance process for VAT & WHT.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation, filing, and submission of VAT and WHT according to the relevant deadlines and regulations.
Stay up to date with evolving tax laws, regulations, and rulings—and assess their impact on our obligations.
Understand the full picture of our business operations and translate that into smart, compliant tax handling.
Prepare tax reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of tax balances.
Collaborate with finance team members to investigate and resolve discrepancies in tax accounts.
Ensure all tax-related accounts are accurately reflected in the general ledger.
Provide expert guidance and interpretation on tax regulations to internal stakeholders.
Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation of tax regulations and how they apply to our operations.
Jump into tax planning initiatives to ensure compliance and optimize efficiency.
Spot potential issues before they arise, and roll out effective solutions.
Analyze tax-related data, find root causes, and implement preventative measures.
Drive continuous improvement—streamline processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any tax-related matters.
Assist with tax audits by preparing the necessary documentation and support.
Participate in cross-functional projects with tax implications.
Guide and mentor junior tax team members when needed.
Provide ad-hoc tax analysis and reports as required.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in tax compliance, ideally in a multinational corporation, retail, or e-commerce environment.
Strong grasp of tax reconciliation and tax accounting methods.
Deep knowledge of VAT and WHT regulations.
Sharp analytical mind and confident in interpreting complex tax laws.
Accuracy is your middle name—detail matters.
Strong organizational and time management skills—you thrive with multiple deadlines.
Excellent communicator—written, verbal, and everything in between.
Proficient in tax software and the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
A self-starter and great teammate.
