Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an IFC Software Factory Manager 3.  This position will be located in Roy, Utah or Huntsville, AL and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program.   

As the IFC Software Factory Manager, you will provide technical leadership and drive integration of products and execution for a large team of systems engineers, software engineers, project managers, and architects across multiple domains and disciplines. The successful candidate should be detail oriented, be able to work collaboratively with multiple teams and disciplines, and be able to communicate clearly with Sentinel leadership, internal and external customers and suppliers. The selected candidate will create a culture of well-being, inclusion and engagement that attracts, retains and enables a high performing workforce.

What You’ll Get To Do:  

         Lead IFC execution teams throughout the entire lifecycle (design, planning, executing, and completing IFCs through IFC Certification).

         Manage and approve IFC artifacts and deliverables.

         Lead the IFC technical team, both internal and suppliers, in architecture, incremental feature definition, requirements, and interfaces and informal testing on target hardware.

         Coordinate with external customer teams and suppliers.

         Prepare and present executive level materials, including status updates, decision briefs, and strategic communications to support leadership awareness and decision making.

         Serve as a liaison between NG and supplier teams to remove roadblocks, improve collaboration and accelerate delivery of supplier SW/HW for the IFC

         Participate in Risk/Opportunity Mgmt & Board Reviews for the IFC

         Lead IFC Design Reviews

         Lead IFC Strategic Plan, Process Manual, & Detailed Descriptions (architecture)

         Lead development of Feature Roadmaps

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.   Relocation may be offered.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications: 

         8 Years with Bachelors Degree from an accredited university; 6 Years with Masters or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree

         Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP)

         Experience with technical problem solving and systems engineering support across multiple engineering disciplines.

         Experience successfully applying engineering processes and procedures to complex development and production efforts.

         Demonstrated experience leading diverse engineering teams and attract, recruit, and develop top talent.

         Experience collaborating and executing on large and complex systems engineering or integration efforts.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: 

         Bachelors degree and/or Masters Degree and/or PhD in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) preferred.

         Experience leading groups of 50+ in a programmatic, or technical capacity.

         Experience in leading the planning and execution of Integrated Functional Capabilities (IFCs).

         Strong leadership qualities, including excellent communication and collaboration, team engagement, and organizational skills.

Primary Level Salary Range: $166,700.00 - $276,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
