We are seeking a strategic and experienced Training Manager to lead the development and execution of our Maintenance Training Program. This role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, driving training innovation, and building a high-performing workforce through structured learning initiatives. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with deep aviation maintenance experience, a passion for developing talent, and the ability to align training programs with operational goals in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the Maintenance Training Program, ensuring compliance with company procedures and FAA regulations
- Design, develop, and deliver training programs for maintenance personnel
- Partner with Maintenance and Customer teams to identify and address training needs
- Develop and maintain training materials, manuals, lesson plans, and course content
- Support training initiatives through research, curriculum development, and visual/graphic enhancements
- Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with internal audit and inspection standards
- Provide one-on-one coaching and tutoring as needed
- Develop and manage departmental budgets and approve expenditures
- Establish departmental objectives, structure, and staffing plans
- Lead employee onboarding, training, and performance management processes
- Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment
- Manage personnel actions including hiring, promotions, and disciplinary actions
- Facilitate communication across teams and lead regular staff meetings
- Resolve operational and personnel challenges while ensuring cross-functional alignment
- Advise leadership on policy improvements and training strategy
- Drive continuous improvement in training effectiveness, efficiency, and delivery methods
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices

REQUIRED SKILLS/ ABILITIES:
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and aviation maintenance training requirements
- Proven ability to design, implement, and evaluate technical training programs
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills in a maintenance or training environment
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively
- Strong organizational and project management abilities with a focus on meeting deadlines
- Ability to analyze training needs and translate them into actionable learning solutions
- Proficiency in developing training materials, including written, visual, and digital content
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop employees at all levels
- Sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing operational demands
- Experience with training documentation, tracking systems, and compliance audits
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for the past three years
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to read, write, and understand English, including technical documentation
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10–15 years of aircraft maintenance experience
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
- Experience interpreting and applying technical data
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure or emergency situations
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires sitting, standing or walking for extended periods of time.
- Requires frequent walking, climbing and lifting, bending, reaching to shoulder level, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 10 pounds.
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
EQUIPMENT OPERATED:
- Telephone, personal computer, general office machines.
- Multiple computer software’s such as Internal systems, Microsoft, Excel, Etc. for tracking, recording and communication.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Aircraft maintenance hangar, maintenance offices, flightline.
OTHER DUTIES:
- May be required to work at both Marana, AZ and Tucson, AZ locations as business needs dictate.
- Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of department management.
