Job Title: Manufacturing Associate
Job DescriptionAs a Manufacturing Associate, you will be trained to manufacture titanium and steel compression springs while learning a variety of production and inspection skills. This role involves hands-on machine work, attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong commitment to quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Learn Spring Coiling by following Production Engineering specifications.
- Trim springs using vertical band saws, cold saws, horizontal saws, or punch presses.
- Perform Dry Grinding, Water Grinding, and Wet Sanding operations.
- Clean springs according to work instructions.
- Set fixtures for heat treatment.
- Deburr, grit blast, and perform light assembly using belt sanders.
- Utilize hand tools, pneumatic tools, and measuring equipment.
- Conduct continuous inspections and quality checks at each stage of production.
- Accurately document inspections and production steps on Travelers.
- Log in and out of job operations for tracking and quoting purposes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area daily.
- Work closely with team leads, coworkers, and quality inspectors.
- Demonstrate the companys 3 As: Attitude, Aptitude, and Ability.
Essential Skills- Self-motivated and dependable.
- Strong sense of urgency and accountability.
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized.
- Detail-oriented with good common sense.
- Visual and spatial thinking ability.
- Basic hand-tool or machine experience preferred.
- Ability to learn and pass Level 1 Spring Maker written, hands-on, and math tests.
- Learn precision measuring using calipers, height gauges, protractors, radius blocks, and pin gauges.
- Complete required Blueprint Reading training.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Blueprint reading.
- Experience with grinding, wet sanding, deburring, and light assembly.

Work Environment
This position involves light to moderate physical work in an indoor manufacturing environment. You will be standing for extended periods and frequently handling, grasping, pushing, and pulling weights between 5-25 lbs. Regular bending, stooping, reaching, and use of foot controls are expected, with occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. and rare lifting up to 50 lbs. Personal Protective Equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection, is required. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with 10-hour shifts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Renton, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $37.00/hr.
