As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of precision machinery, including CNC milling machines, flatbed CNC gantries, Water Jets, Bridgeports, and EZTRAC machines. Your expertise will be critical in producing high-quality parts and tools that meet strict engineering specifications. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the machining process while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines, flatbed CNC gantries, Water Jets, Bridgeports, and EZTRAC machines.
• Edit programs and utilize G-code for machine operations.
• Conduct inspections and utilize probe cycles to ensure precision machining.
• Utilize precision measuring tools to ensure parts meet tight tolerances.
• Fabricate parts and tools according to engineering specifications.
• Interpret blueprints and mylars for part fabrication.
• Set up tooling and adjust machines for optimal performance.
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of machined parts.

• 5-10 years of experience in precision machining.
• Proficiency in using CNC milling machines and lathes.
• Knowledge of G-code and program editing.
• Experience with precision measuring tools such as dial calipers, micrometers, and steel scales.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering specifications.

• Familiarity with Water Jets, Bridgeports, and EZTRAC machines.
• Experience with probe cycles and precision equipment.
• Skill in working with edge finders and setting up tooling.

Work Environment

The work schedule is from Monday to Thursday, 3 PM to 1:30 AM, with the possibility of overtime to meet deadlines. The industrial work environment is climate-controlled, ensuring comfort while working on large parts in the rocket launcher facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Crestview, FL.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.
