GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60 of our global repair volume.
Role Overview:
Laser Welding Operations: Operate laser welding equipment to weld various materials.
Laser Welding Programming: Understand the laser weld machine programs and duplicate/fine tune the programs for laser weld.
Laser Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and ensure laser welding equipment is in good working condition and prevent any downtime.
Quality Control: Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
Safety Protocols: Follow all safety protocols, including wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring a safe working environment.
Teamwork: Collaborate with other laser weld operators, welders and production staff to meet production datelines and quality standards.
The Ideal Candidate:
Required Qualifications:
Minimum Diploma holder with 3 years of relevant experience
Preferably NITEC/Higher NITEC in welding
Able to read and understand the manufacturing operation sheets and standard operation procedures in English
Passionate and curious on new process and equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
Must be able to fully comprehend process parameters and consistently produce good quality parts
Knowledge of measuring instrument, TIG welding & laser welding
Basic knowledge of machine programming
Ability to read & understand technical drawings/instructions
A good team player
