ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM

As Head of Global Portfolio Training, you will play a critical leadership role in shaping and delivering SITA’s global technical product training strategy across Airport Operations, Passenger Processing, and Baggage portfolios. You will lead a globally distributed team of Product Trainers and Instructional Designers, ensuring that internal teams and external customers fully understand, adopt, and maximize the value of SITA’s solutions.

This role sits at the intersection of strategic leadership, global stakeholder influence, scalable ways of working, and delivery excellence. Success requires the ability to translate complex technical products into impactful learning experiences, scale training through digital and automated approaches, and align training outcomes directly to business and customer value.

You are a training leader with a proven track record of managing teams that develop and deliver product and sales enablement trainings, both internally and to customers. Your ability to reinvent training using both technology and learning design sets you apart, and you engage effectively with our global organization to ensure that every person selling, delivering, supporting, or using our products understand the products full potential.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will lead a global team of exceptionally talented product trainers and instructional designers and have the following responsibilities:

  • Define and execute a focused global training vision for our Airport’s Business Unit (BU), aligned with the SITAs objectives and BU priorities
  • Lead, inspire, mentor, and empower a team of Product Trainers and Instructional Designers towards the highest levels of professional excellence
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across Product, Sales, Delivery, and Operations to shape portfolio-level training strategies, to match training demand and supply, and to effectively prioritize based on business needs
  • Design and oversee innovative, scalable software and product training programs, for internal enablement and external customer audiences
  • Drive portfolio planning and delivery excellence, balancing demand, capacity, timelines, and budget while ensuring strategic focus
  • Embed digital, automated, and AI‑enabled learning approaches to improve efficiency, reach, and learner experience
  • Establish and track operational and quality metrics to measure training effectiveness, adoption, and business impact
  • Ensure consistent training standards while adapting content to regional, customer, and solution‑specific needs
  • Act as a senior ambassador for SITA’s training strategy and drive adoption of new ways of working across stakeholders

  • Track record of scaling enablement through digital platforms, automation, and AI‑enabled solutions
  • Practical adopter of emerging technologies to improve speed, reach, and consistency of learning
  • Strong collaborator across Product, Sales, Delivery, and Operations
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving adoption of new ways of working

NICETOHAVE

  • Experience in aviation, airport operations, or complex B2B technology environments
  • Background in customer‑facing technical enablement or large‑scale transformation
  • Exposure to digital learning platforms, academies, or AI‑driven learning solutions
