What Youll Get to DoReporting to the GSE Manager, the Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Journeyman repairs, troubleshoots, adjusts, overhauls, preforms services including inspections, oil changes and assists in the maintenance of all Calm Air International light duty, heavy-duty and automotive equipment in all locations as needed.Complete maintenance and or services on company vehicles and ground equipment; this may include baggage carts, boarding ramps, generators, Gas, Diesel, and Electric GPU’s, Bobcats, Cat equipment, Electric, Propane, And Diesel Forklifts, Kubota Tractors, Freightliner fuel trucks, and fuel dispensing systemsDiagnose and repair all company equipment safely and according to specificationsTroubleshoot to diagnose problemsInspect equipment to ensure safe operationTest repaired equipment to ensure proper function & performanceMaintain proper maintenance reports/documentation inside our maintenance program MTCproPerforms routine preventive maintenance on company equipmentRepair, adjust, and or replace defective parts as neededClean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work as requiredRequest parts and maintain inventoryTravel required to various work sites within Manitoba and NunavutOn-site field work requiredOther duties as assignedHours of WorkApplicants must be available to work mornings, afternoons/evenings, and weekends on a rotational basis as per operational requirementsSkills & Experience We Value Grade 12 or equivalent (GED)Current Heavy-Duty Mechanic, Automotive Mechanic, or comparable Red Seal3-5 years of experienceValid class 5 driving licenseTravel required – approximately 50Computer skills (MS Office, Teams)Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and organization skillsAbility to lift 50 lbsPrevious experience in heavy duty / automotive / aviation considered an assetMust be able to obtain and maintain an Enhanced Security Clearance passPreference given to Inuit Land Claims BeneficiariesInuktitut language considered an asset
