Technology Support Specialist I

Job Description:

DPP is seeking a Technology Support Specialist for an opportunity in Columbia, SC.

Location: Onsite in Columbia, SC
Duration: 12 months; W2 position
Schedule: 8 hr shift, could range anywhere from 6:30am to 6:30pm; flexibility is preferred for OT.
Work authorization: Candidates must be eligible to earn a low-level (Public Trust) security clearance.

Position summary:

Actively resolve routine to moderately complex technical needs of customers by managing problems and suggesting solutions.
Research, resolve and respond to requests received from customers.
Ensure documentation and processes are current as business and technology changes evolve.
May have an in-depth knowledge or experience in specific areas.
Ability to multitask and to troubleshoot, and strong communication skills are essential for this role.
A strong background in technical support, along with customer service experience are needed.

Nice to have:

Citrix
VPN
Microsoft products (Outlook, Teams)

Preferred work experience:

1 year of technical call center experience

Education/equivalency:

Bachelor&39;s degree or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job-related degree
Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job-related degree;
OR, 2 years of job-related work experience plus 2 years of technical help desk experience or other job-rated experience.
