CBA Electronics Technical Trainer- (Commercial/Military Experience Required)

Job Description:

The position is responsible for Technical Training and shall prepare, schedule and conduct classroom instruction for initial and re-certification training of Government employees and other Government contractor employees requiring training in the following areas: Surface Mount Technology, Soldered Electrical Connections, Polymeric applications on Electronic Assemblies, Manufacturing of cable harnesses, to include wire crimping, splicing and stripping techniques, Manufacturing of fiber optic bundles, connectors and terminations. Must remain current as a Level B instructor in accordance with NASA STD 8739.6. Must maintain IPC instructor certification. Performs work as the SME (Subject Matter Expert) involving Electronic and RF troubleshooting, disassembly, repair, assembly, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment, and accessories.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop comprehensive training programs, including course outlines, lesson plans, and training materials aligned with technical requirements.
  • Create tailored presentations, handouts, and other training materials to support the needs of the customer.
  • Operates electrical and RF test equipment to grade and troubleshoot practical exams.
  • Provide technical assistance to trainees during training and address any questions or challenges they may encounter.
  • Keep current of new technologies, techniques, and industry trends to ensure training materials are up to date.
  • Subject Matter Expert on NASA and IPC Standards.
  • Advanced knowledge in RF and electronics test equipment.
  • Monitor trainee progress, conduct assessments through written tests and practical exercises.
  • Keep and report completion of courses on both Learning Management System and paper records.
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications / Licensing and Certifications:

  • S. Citizenship – Required
  • High School Degree or GED – Required
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering Field – Preferred
  • Two (2) + years of experience as a classroom instructor – Preferred
  • Valid State Driver's License – Required
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must know the use of technical publications.
  • Must be able to instruct and participate in long form multi-day classes.
  • Must be able to efficiently and effectively interface with the technicians to facilitate training.
  • Have well-developed Electronic troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Effectively communicate with others and clearly express complex ideas to a classroom of individuals with a wide range of professional experience.
  • Strong public speaking and oral presentation skills
  • Deep understanding of the specific technical subjects being taught, including hardware systems and industry-specific tools.
Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years of instrumentation or avionics experience –
  • Experience with Commercial or Military aircraft –
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (especially PowerPoint).
  • Experience in designing technical course content.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
  • Clearance: must be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance – Required.
  • Vision must be correctable to 20/20.
  • Must be able to distinguish red, green, blue and yellow colors.
